Christmas is a special time in New York City. Although overrun with tourists flocking to see the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, it’s difficult not to get caught up in the spirit of the holiday season. From street signs to souvenir shops, stores on Fifth Avenue didn’t spare any expense in welcoming the holiday season.
Burberry‘s windows were filled with large gold ornaments. (Hey look, there’s my reflection!)
While Miu Miu‘s windows displayed ornate holiday scenes.
Nutcrackers stood guard outside the St. Regis Hotel.
The Peninsula Hotel added carousel horses to its Christmas decorations.
Lord and Taylor celebrated the 75th anniversary of its famous holiday window displays with an interactive Santa’s workshop and life-size snow globes.
In addition to the several large snow globes, Lord and Taylor displayed classic intricate Christmas scenes.
While Salvatore Ferragamo‘s window displays weren’t overly impressive…
…it was difficult not to notice these fantastic sparkly Ferragamo stilettos!
Saks Fifth Avenue is famous for its holiday windows. Tourists line up around the corner each season for a chance to view the Christmas magic.
Rockefeller Center is home to the most iconic of Christmas decorations – its famous Christmas tree.
There is never a shortage of people making their way into Rockefeller Center during Christmas season in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the famous nutcrackers, skating rink and Christmas angels.
Fendi wrapped its entire store with massive B Belts!
It’s no surprise Harry Winston bejeweled its entire shop.
Bulgari also adorned its shop with bright Bulgari jewelry.
Cartier was the most impressive shop on Fifth Avenue though. Cartier wrapped itself in a big bright bow and let the panthers loose. Even the Christmas trees dazzled with Cartier boxes.

Christmas is so colorful in New York! Hope to visit there one day 🙂
You definitely should! And I hope to get to the Philippines!
Oh..I love fifth avenue at Christmas. So exciting to be amongst the hustle and bustle!!!! Great photos. Happy holidays.
Exciting but omg SO crowded!!
You got some fabulous shots! The day I made it there, it began to rain and my umbrella wouldn’t cooperate. I missed many shots and didn’t make it above 55th! I always love the Cartier window — one of my favorites. And Bulgari, and Harry Winston, and, and, and…..NYC’s the best place to be at Christmas.
Thanks! Bummer about the rain!
Much more colorful and decorated than I expected. Awesome! Definitely worth a visit on Christmas time.
When do Christmas decorations start being put in place in New York? Late November?
Hmm… I’m not sure actually! Definitely worth a visit!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I would like to visit New York City soon, but my main reason is to watch Manila Luzon perform live hehe 😀 My first time here. Cheers 😀
You should definitely come to New York – it’s a great city!
These are beautiful! I spent my Christmas in a Korean city that had little to no lights, so it didn’t feel very festive.
Sorry to hear that! I hope you still had a happy new year! 🙂
I’ve been to New York many times but never during the holidays. I went once in January, so I got the freezing cold weather without the holiday decorations. I can tell I am definitely missing out. Fantastic pics!
Let me know next time you’re here!
we had so much fun here in dubai! awesome new year eve too!
Sounds great!
